Why did you create Emoji Expression? ✨

TLDR: Emoji Expression is more than just a blog or POD technology platform; it's a creative outlet for self-expression through the Universal Language of EmojiIRL and Moji Pop Art. Our focus revolves around promoting mental health and wellness, advocating for freedom of information and speech, and offering content that empowers people to express themselves freely. Our platform infuses contemporary themes and issues into its art to spark conversations and inspire positive change. 

Emoji Expression was created for several reasons:

1. To Provide a Platform for Self-Expression - The vision was to build a platform that empowers people to express themselves through the universal language of emoji, using the Internet, art, and pop culture as mediums. We firmly believe in the transformative power of art and community to initiate positive change and ignite conversations about vital issues. 🎨

2. To Promote Mental Health and Wellness - Mental health and wellness, and my own experiences with art therapy and creative journaling, all led me to recognize the therapeutic potential of art. I am passionate about fostering open and honest discussions and actively seeking solutions to support individuals in their self-healing journey. The Internet, art, technology, and human communication play crucial roles in creating a supportive community for this purpose. 🌟

3. To Combat Social Isolation and Loneliness -  Social isolation and loneliness is a fundamental crisis that many people face, especially in the digital age. Emoji Expression desires to create a supportive environment where people feel seen, heard, supported, and safe to explore what they are feeling, thinking, and what they need. And to figure out how to begin their journey to the next step, whatever it might be.🌼 
   
   

4. To Advocate for Freedom of Speech and an Open Internet - Preserving an open and free Internet that is accessible to everyone regardless of who they are and where they live is critical. The Internet is an unprecedented communication tool, and its responsible use is vital to remain free. As Uncle Ben wisely said, "With great power, comes great responsibility." 📢

5. To Offer Another Way Apart From Hate and Discrimination - Hate and discrimination persist in various forms, both online and offline. Emoji Expression is committed to advocating for a more inclusive and compassionate society. We believe in using the power of art and communication to model a different way of living, communicating, and showcasing what freedom looks like.🤝

To Create a Platform for Social Commentary - Art is a potent tool for social commentary, enabling us to address issues like equality, human rights, censorship, access to education, and mental health. Emoji Expression serves as a canvas for these essential conversations. Wanting to make the world a better place is a universal commonality that a majority of people share. To do that in a safe and open way is vital for our growth as individuals and as healthy communities. 🖼️

7. To Offer Content Supporting Self-Expression - Helping people with content and tools to express themselves and their ideas freely; while nurturing their creativity, and enhancing their communication skills. This support especially extends to those who may not consider themselves artists. 🎭

8. To Address the Issue of Suicide and Suicidal Ideation - Emoji Expression recognizes the alarming increase in suicide rates and the importance of mental health support. We are dedicated to providing resources and content that promote mental well-being, resilience, and hope. Our goal is to contribute to a world where people facing emotional struggles can find solace, understanding, and a community that cares. We support initiatives like the 988 crisis hotline and believe that #YouMatter. 💛

To Create an Interactive Experience - providing people with the means to design, enhance, or purchase emoji expression products and solutions through responsible and reputable POD technology. The goal is to reshape perceptions of technology, art, and creativity, illustrating how they converge in a world that is no longer purely physical or digital but rather a hybrid of both – our new "real" world. 😍🤩

• The Digital Divide, which has widened with web 1.0 and 2.0, promises equity in 3.0 but demands significant improvements in communication. We're still learning to navigate the realm of 24/7, 365-day Internet communication, and Emoji, as a universal language spanning generations and divides, holds great promise for human communications and connection. 🌐

• Tech, often unfairly vilified, is a neutral tool. Its impact depends on how we use it. I believe that technology can be an empowering force to solve some of humanity's most pressing issues. Highlighting the positive aspects of tech is crucial. Especially now, when many are out to vilify it. 🤖

• Emoji were originally created to bridge a communication gap in the digital world. Today, we face complex communication issues in the real world, such as excessive digital immersion and the need for smoother transitions between realms. Emoji, being a universal language, transcends both the real and digital worlds, enabling deeper, more nuanced communication. 🌍

• Everyone should have access to real world emoji products without breaking the bank. Addressing consumerism disparities is vital, particularly as mass production contributes to environmental degradation. Innovating consumer consumption is important, especially fashion. Sustainable futures for all brands, big and small is paramount for the future of our children, grandchildren, and our planet. 🌱

For many years my LinkedIn profile described me as a "Creative, out-of-the-box thinker with a passion for people, technology, and communications."  Emoji Expression is an embodiment of these ideals, a project that aims to make a positive impact in the world. It is a big part of my identity, who I am and what I care about. This project is an extension of my ideals. 🧠🕯️
