Hey Moji Maniacs!

Today's Emoji-A-Day shines a light on healing and resilience, reminding us that even the deepest wounds can mend, just like the mending heart ❤️‍🩹 emoji.

Remember that time you scraped your knee or elbow? The sting of pain, the soothing antiseptic, the colorful bandage applied by a caring adult. The world felt a little safer, knowing that wound would heal, leaving a faint scar as a reminder of your resilience.💪

Today, on International We Are Not Broken Day, we're not just talking about scraped knees, elbows, and reassuring bandages. We're talking about the invisible wounds such as the sting of betrayal or the weight of grief. You know, the emotional scars that sometimes feel like they will never fade or go away. But just like that scraped knee or banged up elbow, even the deepest wounds can heal. And the mending heart emoji ❤️‍🩹 is a powerful symbol of that healing journey.

Added in 2020, the mending heart isn't just a broken heart  covered with a bandage. It's a powerful reminder that healing is an active process, requiring strength, courage, and a whole lot of self-love. It's the gentle care that cleanses the wound, the supportive bandage, the unwavering resolve to rise stronger than before. Some wounds take longer to heal than others, and just like physical injuries, we shouldn't expect emotional, spiritual, or psychological wounds to mend overnight. 🌃

We are not broken. We are a little (sometimes a lot) banged up, but we can heal! And it will happen much faster if we embrace the narrative that we are whole, capable of recovery, and deserving of support. But we must first embrace the tools (journaling, art, healthy habits), resources (therapy, meditation, mindfulness), and love (peer support, kind words, self-care) available to you on your healing journey. Let's raise a toast (metaphorically or literally!) to healthy healing and emerging stronger than ever before! Here's to you, to all of us on the path to recovery. We are not broken, we are healing to rise stronger. ❤️‍🩹❤️‍🔥
